About FEMA IS Test
The FEMA IS Test is a required exam for all federal employees who wish to obtain or maintain a position in the Federal Emergency Management Agency
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is an agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security, tasked with responding to natural disasters and providing relief to victims.
FEMA was created in 1979 in the wake of a series of devastating natural disasters, including Hurricane Agnes, which caused $2.1 billion in damage (in today’s dollars) and killed 122 people. FEMA’s role is to coordinate the federal government’s response to emergencies and provide assistance to victims.
FEMA has responded to a number of major disasters, including Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the September 11th attacks in 2001, and Hurricane Sandy in 2012. FEMA has also provided assistance during smaller emergencies, such as the Joplin, Missouri tornado in 2011 and the Flint water crisis in 2016.
FEMA provides a variety of services to victims of disasters, including temporary housing, financial assistance, counseling, and disaster recovery centers. FEMA also works with state and local governments to ensure they are prepared for emergencies.
FEMA’s website provides information on how to prepare for and respond to emergencies, as well as information on current disasters and relief efforts. FEMA also has a toll-free number that people can call for assistance: 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
FEMA Test is an exam administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assess an individual’s ability to respond to and recover from a disaster. The test consists of two parts: a written exam and a physical exam.
The written exam assesses an individual’s knowledge of disaster response and recovery concepts and their ability to apply that knowledge to real-world scenarios. The physical exam assesses an individual’s strength, stamina, and coordination.
